Cast from a real Tasmanian shell, Corey Ashford's Silver Scallop has been designed as both a functional incense holder and sculptural weight. The shell has been cast in brass and hand-polished, before being plated in shimmering silver and finished with an opening to delicately hold your incense stick. Pair with the range of luxury Japanese incense by Corey Ashford.
The shell has been selected for both its beauty and function, as its fluted shell will catch ash that may fall within its embrace. When turned, the piece showcases the natural formations of the shell to create a sculptural weight inspired by antiquity - ideal for holding splayed papers and open books.
Material: Silver-plated brass, the Scallop will age and patina over time. Being handmade, variations in the finish only add beauty to each piece and show their dissimilarity to the mass-produced. Markings have intentionally been left on the piece to mimic the natural formation of a scallop shell.
Size: 10cmw x 3cmh | 3mm opening | 155g
